Royal Family Shares Heartwarming Update on Prince Edward Ahead of Special Event
The Royal Family has shared a heartwarming update about a key member ahead of a significant event.
On Friday, Buckingham Palace posted a video on Instagram showcasing Prince Edward’s visit to Boxing Futures, a charity based in Peterborough.
The official statement read, “A memorable trip to Peterborough… HRH The Duke of Edinburgh met with young people making an incredible impact in their communities through the life-changing Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award.”
The post continued to highlight the charity’s mission, “Through the DofE Award, young adults develop key skills, boost their confidence, and gain motivation.”
Prince Edward also visited @boxingfuturesuk, a charity dedicated to improving the mental and physical well-being of disadvantaged youth through non-contact boxing.
In keeping with the sporting theme, the Duke then met with participants of the DofE program from @theposh, as well as students from two local SEND schools. These students contribute to their communities by engaging in litter-picking efforts around the Peterborough United stadium as part of their DofE volunteering.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 60, wrapped up his royal visit with a short stop at Railword Wildlife Heaven, where he met with DofE volunteers.
